Wajir Airport is located about 5km East of Wajir town. The Airport opens daily operations at 0630 hours and closes at 1830 hours is open to all types of aircraft i.e propeller & jet engine.
This has been made possible following the re-carpeting of the runway and part of the taxiway.
There are three (3 )passenger airlines that transit Wajir from Hargeisa and Mogadishu, they pick passengers from Wajir.
They are namely:
1. EASA
2. African Express
3. Juba Airways
The airport handles an average of 14 flights daily.
