| Passenger Apron: |
The passenger apron is constituted of rigid pavement bays at the main gear positions of the aircraft. The other surrounding area is flexible pavement between the rigid pavement and Terminal 1 & 2 building. There exists a ground safety service road; a static tank and lawn.
The capacity offered by the current apron configuration is:
- Main Apron 1 – 9 Bays
- General Aviation Apron 1–14 Bays (for small aircrafts)
Military Apron (the Bays are not marked but can hold 2 wide bodied
aircrafts, 5 medium bodied aircrafts and 9 small
aircrafts).

The airport has four terminals.
- Terminal 1 has international / domestic departures, and international/domestic arrivals.
- Terminal 2 is used for international departures only
- General Aviation Terminal for local departures to tourist destinations, and local airports and airstrips like Wilson, Malindi , Ukunda, and Manda Island.
- Cargo Terminal for uplift of cargo exports and imports.
