|
Vaccination Requirements for International Travellers
- No yellow fever vaccination certificates are required of all travellers from the East African Community Partner States, Europe, Asia, North America, Australia, North and South Africa.
- No cholera vaccination certificates are required of travellers coming from all over the world.
- Only valid yellow fever vaccination certificates are required of all travellers over one year old, arriving from yellow fever infected countries mainly in central and West Africa, South and Central America South East Asia, India, Nepal Sri Lanka, Bangladesh.
- Vaccination for international travellers are obtainable from all international air and sea ports, city’s and major municipal councils
NB: Yellow fever certificate is valid 10 days after vaccination.

Immigration
- Delegates are advised to fill up their arrival forms before going through passport control. These can be gotten on board the flight from the cabin crew, or on arrival at the airport.
- It is advised that all delegates coming to Kenya obtain their Visa’s in their country of origin before arrival.
- For those who are not be able to obtain a visa before travelling, it is advised that they have on them the following:
- Supporting documents showing purpose of their visit to Kenya
- A passport that is valid for not less than six months
- Visa fees as stipulated – US$ 50 or Euros 40 or Sterling Pounds 30

Luggage
- Trolleys are available at the luggage collection area at no cost to the passenger
- If you land and your luggage has not arrived or is missing, fill a claim form with the Airline representative at the baggage hall before leaving the Airport, and retain a copy of your claim for future reference.
- There is a left luggage facility at Unit 3 departures at a charge of US$ 5 per piece for 24 hrs. Email: abaggage@yahoo.co.uk

International Arrivals - Main Lobby
- There are banks and forex bureaus where passengers can change their money.
- Passenger are advised to carry Standard currencies e.g US dollars, Euros, UAE Dirhams, Sterling Pounds, French Francs, Canadian Dollars, South African Rand .
- Inside the international arrivals there is a customer service desk for taxis that have been registered to operate at the Airport, passengers are advised to use these taxis. The taxis charge 1200 Kenya Shillings from the Airport to the city centre.
- Car hire services are also available at the main lobby.
- Public buses operate to and from the Airport to the city centre after every half an hour at a cost of 40 Kenya shillings.
Departures
- Follow the indications on the gantry signs on the roadside in the Airport as you drive in to know your unit of departure, according to your flight.
- Only departing passengers are allowed into the check in area. Security will verify travelling documents to ascertain this.
- Before entering the check-in area you will be required to put your luggage through the screening machine, and go through the walkway detector. It is advised that you remove all metal objects on your body, and put them through the screening machine (small baskets are provided at the screening points for these objects), before walking through the detector.
- Fill in the departure form available at the check in area, or the checking counter of the Airline.
- Check in at the Airline counter presenting ticket, passport and luggage
- Immigration counter – Present departure form, boarding pass and passport
- Passengers can now proceed to the departure area
- At the departure gate there is a second security check before entering the waiting area. Place your hand luggage on the screening machine, and go through the security gate.
- You are now waiting to board the Aircraft and are under the care of your airline.
