Security Measures
Manda is a feeder airstrip to Malindi, Jomo and Moi International Airports, and therefore is complying with the provisions of ICAO Annex 17 regarding mandatory screening of passengers and Issuance of airport Identification permits etc
Screening equipment is available, hence screening process is carried out perfectly by trained AVSEC personnel and therefore thoroughness is achieved.
Safety Measures
This airstrip has fire cover, category 5. We have one equipped fire tender with a capacity of 6,500 litres of water and 1,500 litres of form compound. The fire station is fully manned during the airstrip hours of operation.
